Join Alan your local Tablelander guide for a half or full day birdwatching tour of the Tablelands region.

The Wet Tropics Region is home to nearly half of Australia's birds. The Atherton Tablelands alone is home to over 200 species, ranging in size from tiny finches to large cassowaries. A high proportion of these are 'endemic' to the Tablelands.

You can watch and photograph these birds in their own habitat and learn more about their natural history on Alan's birdwatching tour.

Alan has been a national park volunteer for a decade. His years of birding and spotlighting can offer you a great wildlife experience as he lives on the Tablelands and visits these great birding areas on a regular basis. He also knows what species are here, what time of year and where to find them, and he keeps records of what has been seen recently and where.

The tour is entertaining as Alan has a wealth of amusing stories from personal experience to illustrate his points about the plants and animals you will see.

He caters for all enthusiasts ranging from first time beginners to twitchers completing their Australian list. Tours can also be tailor made to suit your interests.

This tour can be conducted by foot or in your vehicle.

Alan is a Wet Tropics accredited operator with permits for restricted areas and insurance.
